A company is an effective system that can greatly improve the lives of many people, and I find startups especially appealing because they pursue explosive innovation rather than gradual improvement. Since they need to create significant change in a short time, startups are driven to take bold steps that break away from conventional thinking. Sometimes, they must resolve issues in completely new ways, going against the advice of those closest to them, which makes this work feel all the more challenging.

I want to be a strong partner for the founders of our generation who will drive the next wave of innovation. Just as I worked to solve problems firsthand as part of a founding team, and looked for ways to reduce trial and error as a consultant, now I hope to find ways to contribute as an investor. If there’s something to do, I’ll keep exploring bold approaches to improve far beyond what’s been done before, and if there’s something I shouldn’t do, I’ll step aside so as not to be a hindrance. Believing that the startups we invest in will ultimately bring about innovation, I am committed to accompanying them through a long and challenging journey.

In order to bring about dramatic, swift change, startups have to take bold risks that defy convention. Very often, they're required to challenge accepted norms, and sometimes, they even have to go against those closest to them. Finding solutions in untried waysmakes the road that much harder—but that's exactly what gives it real value.

I want to serve as a true partner for the founders in our generation who are set to shape the future of innovation. Having solved problems head-on as a startup team member and later sought ways to cut down on trial and error as a consultant, I now hope to make a meaningful contribution as an investor.

Whenever there's a way to do better, I'll push boundariesand question the norm to find it. If there's something that shouldn't be done, I'll take a step back so as not to stand in the way.

I'm convinced that the startups we support will ultimately spark innovation, and I'm dedicated to being by their side throughout the long and challenging journey to come.
