A company is an effective system that has the power to significantly improve the lives of many. Among them, startups are particularly fascinating because they don’t just aim for incremental progress—they strive for explosive innovation.
To create rapid, large-scale change, startups must take bold, unconventional risks. Often, they have to challenge conventional wisdom, and in many cases, they even face opposition from those closest to them.
Solving problems in entirely new ways makes the journey even more difficult—but that’s precisely what makes it so meaningful.
I want to be a great partner to the founders of our generation who will lead the next wave of innovation. Just as I once tackled problems firsthand as a startup operator and later worked as a consultant to help reduce trial and error, I now seek to contribute as an investor.
If there’s a better way to do something, I will push boundaries and challenge the status quo to find it. If there’s something that shouldn’t be done, I will step back and stay out of the way.
I deeply believe that the startups we invest in will ultimately drive innovation, and I am committed to standing by them for the long and demanding journey ahead.
