Having received significant support from Korea’s startup ecosystem during my time at Naver and Kakao, I hope to give back for those grateful experiences by contributing to the growth of the startup ecosystem through BASS Ventures.

Entrepreneurship is an ongoing process of tackling countless complex and difficult problems. On their journeys, we want to provide more than just financial backing; by leveraging the management’s experience, capabilities, and networks gained through previous entrepreneurial and problem-solving journeys, we hope to deliver genuinely practical support to today’s early-stage startups.

If Korea's major corporations were products of a particular stage in the country's development, then now is truly the era of startups. We hope in some way to empower early founders as they tackle today’s challenges with creative solutions fit for our times.

Furthermore, we hope this mindset extends beyond BASS Ventures and our portfolio, so that the outstanding individuals we’ve met along the way will take the lead and help create a lasting, virtuous ecosystem that continuously supports others.
